1973. Bees Make Honey, Brinsley Schwarz and Ducks DeLuxe hold a benefit concert at Camden Town Hall in an effort to raise money to repair Kilburn And The High Road‘s transit van.

In Court

1994. The Eagles file a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court to stop Elektra Records from releasing a greatest hits package.

In Politics

1986. Kinky Friedman‘s campaigned to be elected Justice Of The Peace for Precinct 1 in Kerrville, Texas. The voters dashed his political ambitions although he did run again in 2006, albeit for the somewhat higher office of governor. Here’s a flyer for the original campaign.

1994. Later… With Jools Holland (BBC-2, U.K.) 3.3. The Pretenders – “Night In my Veins”, “977”; “Hollywood Perfume”; David McComb & The Red Ponies – “Setting You Free”, “Lifelike”; Angelique Kidjo – “Agolo”, “Houngbati”; Erasure – “Miracle”, “Because Your’e So Sweet”; Jonathan Richman – “Now Is Better Than Before”; Evan Dando – “Being Around”. 1972. Stone The Crows guitarist, Les Harvey, dies from an electric shock onstage at the Top Rank Ballroom, Swansea.
