1951. Carl Palmer (Atomic Rooster, E.L.P.) born in Birmingham, England.

In Custody

1968. Eric Clapton, Richie Furay, Jim Messina and Neil Young are all arrested at Joni Mitchell‘s house on charges of possessing marijuana.

In Court

1982. Mari Wilson has to alter her backing group’s name from Imagination to the Wilsations to avoid confusion with the soul group, Imagination.

In Hospital

1990. Gloria Estefan fractures a vertebrae when her tour bus is hit by a tractor near Scranton, Pennsylvania.

On Television

1967. The Monkees (NBC, U.S.A.) with an episode entitled, “Monkee Mother”. The Monkees can’t pay their rent so their landlord moves a more mature tenant (Rose Marie of the Dick Van Dyke Show) into their pad! Songs Include: “Sometime In The Morning”.


1991. Eric Clapton‘s son Conor dies when he falls from the 53rd floor of the Galleria Building in New York where he lived with his mother Lori Del Santo.
