Birth

1955. Brian James (The Damned, Lords Of The New Church) born Brian Robertson in London, England.

In Church

1969. Lulu marries Maurice Gibb (The Bee Gees) at the Parish Church in Gerrard’s Cross, Bucks. The best man is Maurice’s twin brother, Robin Gibb. More than 1,000 fans gathered outside and at one point police had to form a human chain to stop them surging into the church during the service.

In Court

1999. Axl Rose phones in a plea of no contest to Phoenix Municipal Courtroom over a charge of disturbing the peace at the city’s Airport last year. The Guns N’ Roses front man had been arrested after an argument with security staff and was locked up in police cells for several hours. Judge Michael Lester sentenced Rose to time served (the hours he’d already been detained) and fined him $ 500.

In Hospital

1998. Travis Tritt‘s wife Theresa gave birth to a daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt at a hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

On Television



1977. The Midnight Special (U.S.A.) with The Electric Light Orchestra, Mary MacGregor, Don McLean, George Miller, Santana

Death

1998. Ned “EBN” Liben (RiffRaff, EBN/OZN) has a heart attack while cooking breakfast for his two year old son at their Manhattan home. Despite being rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, the 44 year old composer/musician/producer was pronounced “dead on arrival”.
