The citation accompanying the award reads, “Undoubtedly one of the great female jean wearers in the pop world, she manages to combine the wearing of a traditionally masculine garment with a highly feminine and sensual pop image. Her neat, trim, size 8 shape provides the best possible lines for “rear” attractiveness”. Suzi won against stiff competition. Among her nine challengers were Toyah Wilcox, Kim Wilde and Sheena Easton.
